DETHBAR, 2026
a seven weeks exhibition and curational project together with David Lemoine at Barbur gallery, Jerusalem.
the Dethbar was a minimalist, diy wooden booth serving "war gin" - a homemade alcohol, installed in an otherwise empty Barbur gallery space.
curation in the space of a series of concerts, talks and workshops, featuring artists and activists from israel’s independent scene, selected to reflect in an ironical or absurd way on the country’s dark, and complex present reality.
during its short run, the exhibition went through ambiguous peace, full-scale war, and a fragile ceasefire, each phase shaping how the work was experienced. the space was used by the public both as a safe haven and as a place to collectively reflect on the macabre reality.
